The story of Shenzhen Heibor Technology Co., Ltd. began with a problem that sparked innovation. Founders Jason Yu, a seasoned mechanical designer with a background in quality management and a former General Manager at ADLO Group, and Huabin Zou, a veteran of the metal manufacturing industry since 1994, identified a critical challenge in medical blood oxygen monitoring devices. Traditional stainless steel connectors exhibited higher resistance than ideal, while copper was too soft and prone to oxidation, and gold proved prohibitively expensive. Driven by a passion for precision, they revolutionized the industry by pioneering the use of stainless steel with PVD gold plating, overcoming the limitations of traditional copper solutions and setting a new standard for conductivity and durability in critical applications.

This same spirit of innovation and problem-solving soon found a new avenue in the burgeoning smart wearable market. In 2015, recognizing the immense potential of the Apple Watch, Jason and Huabin observed a significant hurdle: the unique connector design prevented the use of existing watch straps. Fueled by their deep understanding of metal manufacturing, particularly a fascination with the precision of Metal Injection Molding (MIM), they envisioned a solution. Utilizing MIM technology to produce Apple Watch connectors could significantly reduce manufacturing costs and unlock a vast market for compatible watch straps.
